At Montana Knife Company, we’ve made a name for ourselves designing compact hunting knives meant for ultralight packing. With the Super Cub, we’ve broken our own mold and gone big. Measuring 10″, the Super Cub is our longest and strongest hunting blade, capable of taking on any job you encounter in the field — from field dressing, gutting, and deboning to fieldcraft tasks like chopping and batoning wood.

The Super Cub knife is designed to withstand the toughest environments. It takes its name from the Piper Super Cub airplane, known for transporting hunters and adventurers to the most remote backcountry locations. Drop Point Perfection

The Super Cub’s 5.5″ blade is the ideal drop point shape. The spine — which is about .02″ thicker than our other hunting blades for added strength — slopes down from the handle into the tip.

The Super Cub also has more belly than other drop points, making the tip even more useful. There’s very little this knife can’t do.
Built-in Finger Guard

Just above the G-10 Handle Scales, we’ve shaped a finger guard in the steel to keep your hand from sliding up onto the blade’s sharp edge.

This gives an additional measure of protection when you’re performing more intense fieldcraft tasks.

Bulletproof G-10 Handle Scales

The G-10 handle scales are equally as tough as the blade. G-10 is famous for being strong, durable, and lightweight — unmatched by any natural handle material.

It can withstand any abuse without cracking or breaking, won’t absorb blood, and provides excellent grip, even when wet. The contours of the handle are also designed for comfort in extended use. The G-10 scales are attached with locally sourced titanium screws and high-strength epoxy to secure the perfect, lasting fit.
Exclusive MKC Open Carry Sheath 2.0

Each Magnacut Super Cub comes with USA Made, custom MKC Kydex sheath.

The sheath features a built-in retention screw to customize blade tension and allow for handle-down carrying. The Magnacut Super Cub sheath comes with a Kydex clip allows you to carry your knife on a pack or belt loop, either horizontally or vertically.

The Best

Like all MKC knives, it’s razor sharp and well balanced. Can be used for hunting, in the woods, or at camp. I used to have a drawer full of average knives I was constantly working on; they’ve all been replaced by a few durable MKC blades.

Super Cub is exactly the correct name

I already owned 5 MKC knives when I ordered the Super Cub. I thought I had every knives I would ever need but, well, the Super Cub hit a sweet spot. It is larger than my other hunting/carry knives and more robust. And it feels just right in the hand. If this keeps up, I may have to come out of retirement! But it’ll be worth it!
