The Triumph Hunter is the proud achievement of Nock On’s John Dudley and MKC’s Josh Smith first design collaboration. The Montana Knife Company X John Dudley Nock On Triumph is versatile, capable, and full of personality. Light enough for a goat hunt, but large and strong enough to field dress an elk, this knife is ready to tackle any gun or bow hunting excursion. This isn't just another collector’s item, it's a part of your essential gear.
Purchased a while back due to its beauty and the brands reputation, held off reviewing until I put it to use. Didn’t disappoint at all! I was so impressed with the quality that I decided to use this one exclusively for bow hunting, and buy another model for rifle season!
I feel lucky to own one! Used it on my moose this year. Perfect for detail work and poking grip holes in the hide, also held its edge and easy to hold on too in below freezing temps! And it matches my bow equipment!
Congrats on the moose! The Triumph series knives are true workhorses and it was awesome to be able to collab with John Dudley himself on these knives. The man really knows his stuff! Thanks for the review!
This is the perfect knife for deer season, it comes super sharp and stays that way. Small enough to do all the internal work on a white tail, enough belly to skin effectively, and the tip is perfect for more delicate work. Resharpening was a breeze, even though after my first deer it felt sharp enough to do 10 more. I’ll be a customer for life and recommend these knives to every hunting buddy I have.
Beautiful buck - congrats! It looks like you have been getting a ton of use out of the knives and having a great season so far! If you want to, send us those photos with the knives (and grip and grins if you have them) to firstname.lastname@example.org - we would love to see them!
I had been curious about MKC for awhile just had not bought one yet. Finally bought a couple earlier this year for a moose hunt I just went on . Myself and my other camp mates all had MKC blades. I can safely say best blade I have broken down a moose with, South Georgia white tails don’t stand a chance! The grip, the handling, the blade everything was amazing. However nothing came close to the customer service. I had an issue with my knife and contacted customer service on a whim. They made the whole process seamless, despite the fact they didn’t have to help me. I have bought from other well known knife companies with less severe issues than this and had vastly different results. I can say the care a service of the other companies was garbage compared to MKC. I grew up helping my father with his small business and currently work for a family owned small business To me it is the small things that stand out. Boy MKC you have a fan in me!
Thank you so much! Like our knives, we want our customer service experiences to be every bit as quality. Glad we could get you squared away!
Coming from exchangeable blades I was very impressed at the sharpness out of the box. Held a sharp edge without any touch ups on a good bull. Hunting buddy said the blade felt good in the hand.
Congrats on the bull!! Based on the brow tines and the thick bases it looks like a stud!! Glad to hear the Triumph held up and thank you for the review!
