The MKC Culinary Collection features The Big Horn Chef, The Smith River Santoku, and the Little Bighorn Petty. All three knives were born from the collaboration between MKC Founder & Master Bladesmith, Josh Smith and renowned knife maker Mareko Maumasi — with his extensive knowledge as a bladesmith and experience in the restaurant industry.

 The knives are made with Magnacut Stainless Steel and finished with a black PVD coating for optimal durability. The handles are constructed of G-10 and contoured for a comfortable grip and come in your choice of three colors: Black, MKC Orange, and Red.

Mareko designed each culinary knife's cutting edge profile so that the entire blade-edge rests flat on a cutting surface.

It gives the handle a nice upsweep to provide much more knuckle clearance than you typically see.

Versatile Blade Shapes

Mareko and Josh designed the culinary with a variety of blade shapes that are must useful in a kitchen setting.

Owners can easily use them for fine chopping work, cutting large pieces of meat or precision work like coring an apple. The knives also have wide blades making it perfect for scooping food off the cutting board.

    Culinary EXTREME!

    I was always a big Wusthof knife guy. I love good knives and I love to cook. I decided to swap out my Wusthof knives for MKC and change up the performance and look in my kitchen. My daughter is going to get a kick-ass set of kitchen knives for a 23 year old! The fit in my hand, the balance and most of all the performance of these knives have been fabulous. Also, they are insanely sharp as well. I also bought the MKC strop to keep the edges tuned up on a regular basis. Incredible, as MKC products are, and I couldn't be happier. I also have the Cattleman Cleaver, Breaking Butcher, Flathead Filet and Sawtooth Slicer...Very fortunate indeed. Thanks MKC!!

    Ultimate Culinary Set

    I’ve been waiting for a drop for just one of these knife shapes, the Santorum, but after seeing the whole set offered with a cool buffalo leather roll, I jumped on it. The set is a great choice of shapes and I’m pleased with them all. Great job MKC !

    Great Portable set

    Great knives that are thinner than I expected but work outstandingly well. The leather carrying case is a big bonus that will last a lifetime. I now bring these knives with me when driving on vacation or to our second home. I got the orange and black to go with my mini-speed goat which fits great in the carrying case. The orange and black make these knives easily recognizable as MKC to those in the know.
