Our knife owners love the MKC Speedgoat for its combination of lightness, toughness, and versatility. While there’s very little the drop point blade design can’t do, some hunters prefer a larger blade belly for skinning purposes. You spoke. We listened. The Stoned Goat was born.
If our Stonewall Skinner and Speedgoat had a baby, this would be it.
The Stoned Goat 2.0 combines the skeletonized, paracord-wrapped handle from the Speedgoat with the trailing point blade shape from the Stonewall — resulting in a knife that reduces the risk of unwanted punctures without sacrificing versatility or ultralight portability.
This 2.0 version takes the original design a step further by incorporating an integrated finger guard and a slightly longer (⅛″), thicker skeletonized handle for improved strength and easier lanyard wrapping. Oh yeah… it comes in MagnaCut now.

I have always babied my knives, but after listening to Josh and understanding his passion and how he tells the story of knives passed down through generations of use with a story written on the blade, it's given me a whole new perspective. I've never had a really good knife either, but finally understanding "buy once, cry once" and ready to put this to use. The generations program also helped sell it for sure. Thanks for the quality, beautiful tool of art! I'm sure I'll be back for more and want to get one for all my boys as they grow.

I’ve been waiting to get my hands on one of these since they first came out. Luckily on the last drop I finally was able to grab one. Upon opening I took it out of the sheath and holy smokes what a great feel. I’ve never owned anything this compact. It feels so good in the hand. Quality is ridiculous on both the knife and the form fitting sheath it came with. The hype is real. I can’t see anyone not absolutely loving this tool. Definitely was worth the wait.

The knife looks great and was sharp out of the box.
I understand what MKC was going for with making an ultra-lite skinner but ultimately I believe the spine of the knife is too thin.
I wore it for a whole day in the vertical position on the provided Kydex sheath and when I inspected it at the end of the day the knife blade was noticeably bent to the right, presumably from being pressed up against my body tightly from the sheath design.
I’m not an overweight guy, 192lb, 6’2”, I have maybe opened 1 package with the knife so far so the bend can not be from misuse or even hard use. The picture below is even after I bent it back somewhat straight.
Overall I love the design shape and finishing, I just think the spine metal should be a bit thicker. It could still achieve an ultra-lite niche while being more reliably sturdy.
Excited to check out the brick and mortar store once built.
