Professional hunting guide Aron Snyder lives for hunting sheep, goats, and other big game deep in the backcountry. When he approached us about collaborating on a design, we jumped at the opportunity. The result is the Jackstone, reflecting Aaron’s passion for the traditional Canadian belt knife.
Its lightweight build and utilitarian shape makes the Jackstone ideal for multi-day backcountry trips. The distinct leaf-shaped blade provides enough belly for skinning while maintaining a super strong tip capable of more demanding tasks. Its rounded, ergonomic handle is optimized for comfort and control. And at just 3.5 oz, the Jackstone is virtually unnoticeable when attached to your pack.

The Jackstone is the perfect size for my hunting needs. I have not put it to work yet. But I have dressed and processed plenty of animals with my other MKC knives and I am excited to put this one to work hopefully on a spring bear. Enclosed is a picture of my blaze orange stoned goat getting set to go to work. I'll update with a jackstone picture when it gets the honor.

It’s going to be a painstaking 9 months until I get to put this knife to use, but first impressions are amazing. I love the feel and balance of the knife.
