Like all MKC knives, this knife is razor sharp out of the box feels really great in the hand. Really like the stone wash look and the size of the blade. Can’t wait to use it this hunting season.

Finally picked up an Elkhorn Skinner the other day. It looked llike a great knife online but it's even better in the hand. I like the exaggerated contours of the grip. They're solid for choking up on the blade. I've got some mirror finished blades but this stone washed finish looks cool, too. Awesome size, nice belly on the blade. Another bad ass knife. Keep up the good work!

I final got to field test my Live Wild edition Elkhorn. Only fitting to do it on a Maui Axis deer. Very sharp, skins like a dream. I didn’t expect it to work as well as it does for opening small joints for how wide the blade is and not as fine a point. Still, no problem. I really like how the handle feels in my hand with different holds while breaking down an animal. I didn’t think I’d find any other knife I like as much as my MKC Triumph, but I think I have.

I have wanted an Elkhorn from the first time I saw the design. When I saw the drop announced I made sure I got one. When it arrived I wasn't disappointed. It is a great size and weight. It feels great in the hand with good balance. The only knock on it is the sheath. I have one other MKC blade and it comes in and out of the sheath fine. This Elkhorn was so tight I had to loosen the screw to get it to release. Even with adjusting it still isn't great coming in and out of the sheath

The Elkhorn is a phenomenal knife. The first time I used it I had to intentionally slow down the field dressing process. The ergonomics are unrivaled. The size and shape leave nothing to be desired. I am grateful to be able to share memories and harvests with my kids. MKC has increased the joy of those events.
