Introducing the MKC Traditions Knives, a special collection that brings back the classic hunting knives from my days as a custom knife maker. Each knife in this lineup features a unique desert ironwood handle, renowned for its toughness and one-of-a-kind grain patterns.
The MKC Traditions Knives showcase handles crafted from desert ironwood, a material celebrated for its hard, closed grain that repels oil, blood, and water. This ensures the handle stays clean, stable, and free from warping or cracking. We’ve outfitted three of our models: the MKC Elk Knife, the Rocker, and the Packout Skinner with these exceptional handles, each paired with a custom sheath from Francesca at Teton Leather.
Every piece of desert ironwood is unique, just like a fingerprint, offering a variety of grain patterns from burly to straight. This means no two knives are alike, giving you a one-of-a-kind tool that is both functional and visually stunning. The ironwood's natural resilience to extreme conditions makes it perfect for hunting knives.-

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful knives I have ever owned. And razor sharp right out of the box. My cousin (a knife connoisseur in his own right) made the comment that he could shave with the Rockers shadow!

Man this knife is a smoker. The Ironwood handles have awesome grain and are finished out smooth and brautiful. The Magnacut Stainless Steel is finished out like a mirror and razor sharp out of the box. The sheath is WELL MADE and compliments the knife. The box and packaging is over the top. This is my second Montana Knife, my first being the Speedgoat 2.0. Definitely not my last. Gotta have that folder!! Also the sweatshirts and tee shirts…………nice!

This was my second Rocker, but I just ordered one more last week 🤣. What can I say that I haven't said before. Awesome knife, its my favorite MKC, sorry, you have many great knives I just favor this for EDC. Sharp, well balanced fits my hand great. Had been wanting to add a Traditions model to my collection and this did not disappoint! Absolute work of art. The desert ironwood handle is beautiful! Highly recommend grabbing one of the Traditions Rocker if released again.
