The MKC Traditions Knives showcase handles crafted from desert ironwood, a material celebrated for its hard, closed grain that repels oil, blood, and water. This ensures the handle stays clean, stable, and free from warping or cracking. We’ve outfitted five of our models – the Blackfoot, the Whitetail, the Stonewall, the Jackstone, and the Super Cub – with these exceptional handles, each paired with a custom sheath from Francesca at Teton Leather.

Every piece of desert ironwood is unique, just like a fingerprint, offering a variety of grain patterns from burly to straight. This means no two knives are alike, giving you a one-of-a-kind tool that is both functional and visually stunning. The ironwood's natural resilience to extreme conditions makes it perfect for hunting knives.

The stunning grain patterns and rich color variations, ranging from honey gold to blackish brown, give each handle a unique and visually captivating aesthetic. The natural luster of the wood adds an almost glass-like shine, elevating the overall appearance.

Traditions Jackstone

Needed this knife like I needed another hole in my head! This is my third MKC knife (Speedgoat & Stoned Goat), but I always wanted a Jackstone, and I just couldn't pass up the wood grip on the Traditions. Any ways, love it and it didn't disappoint.
