After specializing in ultralight knives for ounce-counting backcountry hunters, we wanted to create a blade with even more versatility. Designed to take on any task a hunter may face, the Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner is truly a do-it-all hunting knife. Perfectly curved for skinning, sharp enough for cutting, and stout enough for chopping, the Stonewall blade is as all-purpose as it gets.
As a Lincoln, Montana native, our founder and Master Bladesmith Josh Smith grew up hunting and fishing in this remarkable region. The Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner fittingly takes its name from two of the area’s standout landmarks: Stonewall Mountain, bordering the Scapegoat Wilderness to the north; and the Blackfoot River, bordering the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex to the south.

This was my 3rd MKC knife, and what a beauty. Such a cool color combo and it works even better than it looks. I was on the fence about pulling the trigger but only had to remind myself about how well the Blackfoot I purchased for my friend worked for the two elk he had broke down. Within 2 weeks of receiving this knife I was blessed enough to put it to task. A friend's wife had successfully harvested her first deer and they were not far from my house. I was excited for her, always willing to help, and told them to bring it by so I could break in my new knife. What a dream this knife was. It did twice the work in half the time of anything I'd used before. No changing blades, no choppy cuts, no binding, just smooth long sweeps, and deep precise cuts. After the task was completed it feels just as sharp as it was out of the box. When you get to use these knives as intended it really shows the value of American made quality and design. If I wasn't sold before, I definitely am now, and am happy to pay for such premium tools. This knife will have a lifetime of game to skin, and I can't wait for this upcoming season. Received the knife and WOW, what a blade, cool look and feel although my wife didn't seem as excited or impressed as I was. Obviously havnt been able to field test it yet but did use it on some chicken beasts to test feel and sharpness, I was like Edward Scissorhands with a laser using it. So glad I added to my collection and look forward to my next MKC addition. Finally, nothing MKC did but something happened in transit and they took care of it immediately, thanks Team.

The knife came extremely quickly in the mail and I could not be more excited with the quality that is put into the knife, its sheath, and the packaging it comes in. I am exited to use this knife during the upcoming hunting season and am sure it will pair great with my speedgoat. Thank you to MKC and the great work they do.

This is my fourth MKC knife and just like the others the fit and finish is great. The edge is really sharp and the fact that it’s family owned made in the USA just adds to the knives appeal for me. I’ve been out hunting trying to get an animal and put this knife to work!
