The Speedgoat has is one of our most popular knives because of its weight, thinness, and toughness. Meet its little brother, the Mini Speedgoat 2.0. The Mini Speedgoat 2.0 is tough enough to tackle the same tasks as the Speedgoat, but the smaller, thinner, and lighter design makes it even more ideal for non-hunting purposes.

The near 3-inch blade means the Mini Speedgoat 2.0 is legal for open carry in most U.S. Cities. And in our latest version, we’re making it even more practical for your go-to fixed-blade EDC knife.

PVD Coated 52100 Carbon Steel Blade

The Mini Speedgoat 2.0 is made from cryogenically-treated 52100 high carbon ball-bearing steel.

This achieves the perfect balance of toughness, edge-retention, and easy resharpening. The blade is also PVD coated to a matte black finish which minimizes rust and glare.
Ultralight, Ultra-Thin Design

With the Mini Speedgoat, we took the ultralight design of the Speedgoat a step further. While it’s only 15% shorter, it’s over 30% lighter than its big brother.

The skeletonized, paracord-wrapped handle sheds ounces and reduces hand fatigue. The Mini Speedgoat 2.0 is also incredibly thin — 0.090″ at its thickest point and 0.01″ at the edge, making it incredibly easy to sharpen, maintain, and carry. And we incorporated your feedback and added a larger fingerguard to protect your hand from slipping on the blade.
Trail Companion

Bear spray and firearms can be incredibly effective for self-defense on the trail, but they’re often too cumbersome to carry — especially on intense hikes and trail runs.

The Mini Speedgoat clips comfortably in running shorts’ pockets or on leggings, bra straps, and heart rate monitors. This gives a reliable measure of defense without hindering movement or performance.

550 Paracord Handle

Wrapping the handle in 6.5 feet of 550 paracord was just as much for minimizing weight as maximizing versatility.

It can fix a broken boot lace, tie down a tent, hang meat in a tree, or help in any number of unexpected, emergency situations. And when the paracord is removed from the handle, the Mini Speedgoat still fits securely in its sheath.
Redesigned MKC Open Carry Sheath 2.0

Each Mini Speedgoat comes with a USA Made, Custom MKC Kydex sheath. Our newly designed sheath features a built-in retention screw to customize blade tension and allow for handle-down carrying.

We’ve also reduced the size and weight to make it easier to carry, which means it’s: 

  • 35% Lighter 
  • 8% Shorter
  • 16% Narrower

The Mini Speedgoat sheath comes with a fabric-grabbing metal pocket clip features a retainer tab that keeps the sheath secured to pants, shorts, leggings, sports bras, or MOLLE webbing when removing the knife for use.

    There’s just something awesome about it…

    It’s kind of hard to explain my obsession with MKC. You just have to get your hands on one of them. Perfection in a small package, the fineness of the point is unbelievable, almost syringe like. I removed the clip from the Kydex sheath and just slide the entire knife in the sheath into my front pocket. Rides around in there like a dream with the 550 cord coming out of my pocket and trailing down just a couple inches. My new EDC. The full size speedgoat is also in my collection now; another fascinating “didn’t know I needed it until I got it” knife built with stunning quality and precision. Can’t wait to own every knife they make. The fact that this company employees good hard-working Americans in America is another bonus. Keep it up Josh and team. MKC for life.

    Perfect for outdoorsmen

    This knife is a perfect fit for my lifestyle. I can clip it on my belt, or pocket and take it with me wherever I go. Fishing in my kayak, on my backpack hiking, or while I’m hunting. Light weight, and very durable. I can field dress, game, filet a fish, or cut my steak. Great overall knife.

    Mini Speedy Goats

    The pocket sized version of the Speedgoat 2.0! I love the full size, so light and nimple for countless chores. The mini is even handier by easily sliding into a front pocket. Handle is large enough to still be comfortable in my bear paws. Its no crowbar or batoning knife, but an outstanding, so light you'll forget your carrying EDC knife
