The MKC Culinary Collection features The Big Horn Chef, The Smith River Santoku, and the Little Bighorn Petty. All three knives were born from the collaboration between MKC Founder & Master Bladesmith, Josh Smith and renowned knife maker Mareko Maumasi — with his extensive knowledge as a bladesmith and experience in the restaurant industry.
The knives are made with Magnacut Stainless Steel and finished with a black PVD coating for optimal durability. The handles are constructed of G-10 and contoured for a comfortable grip and come in your choice of three colors: Black, MKC Orange, and Red.

I had originally bought only the santoku knife and loved it so much that I had to buy the whole set which is a plus since it comes with a very nice leather carrying case for the knives. I gave my best friend my original culinary knife that I had purchased as a gift after I received the set and even they are firm believers in MKC knives now too!

By far the best kitchen knife’s I’ve used! I was tired of cheap sets that won’t hold an edge and didn’t inspire confidence. Love how they’re America made and MKC is a local company to me. This is the knife set that started my MKC knife collection/obsession!

I've been eyeing a MKC culinary blade for over a year and couldn't pass on the Thanksgiving drop. The blades are much lighter than my outgoing blades and I appreciate how each blade has its own deliberate balance. Most of all, it's hard to be prepared for how sharp these knives are. I feel like I need to relearn how to use knives in the kitchen!
