The Beartooth Blade was designed and tested in conjunction with professional Alaskan bear guide Cole Kramer. This knife is purpose-built as a professional-grade knife. Its primary design is for fleshing hides. The sweeping design allows the user to take long sweeping strokes providing as much working edge as possible with little interference of a pointy tip.
Large hides can take a lot of work and a large well-designed knife can help cut that work down considerably. This blade is as thin as many pocket knives making it a knife that can be used in a repetitive motion for hours while also being incredibly easy to sharpen. Don’t let the thin blade fool you. In tests, this knife flexed 90 degrees before returning back to near straight.
Very nice knife, well made!
Extremely sharp and good fit in the hand!
Looking forward to using this knife this fall. It's a high quality knife made with excellent craftsmanship. Exactly what you would expect from MKC.
Finally got around to trying my beartooth skinner. It did great on a couple of beaver this evening. Lookong forward to processing more fur with it.
I research knives religiously as my husband is an avid collector and I am always trying to find him the best one. He literally told me to stop looking, I found it. He loves his beartooth skinning knife. 2 lambs killed and skinned for new years and he said it was the best knife he has ever used. And this is man who skins lambs at least once a month. I've never seen him so excited about a knife and he has many! Excellent knife, ridiculously sharp, and made beautifully. It's genuinely a beautifully crafted knife and worth every penny.
