    Great jacket

    Maybe I am just real bad at this thing called shopping for clothes. But I don’t think I have ever had a rain jacket that actually seemed to keep me dry. I had just grown comfortable in my knowledge and belief that rain jackets were merely the words we attach to those jackets that make us look a touch more fashionable when we feel like a wet rat. So, to me, I guess rain jackets had just become a magical totem. A bit like the little engine that could actually.

    But. Christ. I sure am as wet as a wet rat.

    What’s my point?

    Ummm. This jacket seems to keep me dry. And this is wizardry of a whole different kind.

    I think this alone would be enough for me to give this jacket my rarely granted review.

    But the thing is this: My fiancée - who is definitely not a hunter and who cries when she she sees killer whales try to knock sea lions off icebergs and cries just as much when she sees sea lions kill penguins - has, herself, taken quite a liking to all things MKC as a result of the quality of this and their other jackets.

    I have to buy doubles now if I want to use anything I buy from MKC.

    How much does she love their stuff?

    She recently made me buy their everyday carry tactical knife.

    What will it be used for? Oh. I dunno. It will probably sit next to the Wilson Combat doublestack she forced me to buy after falling in love with mine. She promised me she would carry it but of course it has just disappeared into her dragon hoard of treasured items never to be seen again.

    My point? The gal may not have any of the background for why a thing has beauty but she has instinctive taste. And her endorsement of MKC products, including this jacket specifically reflects better on MKC than my own approval.

    And I am quite glad to see her interests turning away from purses and committing sacrilege by sitting on beautiful handguns like Smog the Dragon.

    Because her fascination with MKC and the incredible quality of these products…Well.

    God Damned.

    It’s really quite a bit cheaper than any of her interests have ever been historically.

    This is a great light duty coat to break the wind and keep the rain off. Fits a little tight in a good way, size up if you want a loose fit!
