I have went through razor after razor, from Art of Shaving products to Gillet. This is hands down my favorite. It’s well built and feels like it’s gonna last (no plastic). Not to mention you can buy as many replacements blades as you need for a fraction of the cost compared to Gillet. If you’re hesitant, don’t be, you won’t regret pulling the trigger on this purchase.

Single blade being the only “downside” to this razor but once you get used to a slightly different shave style absolutely not a problem. I like the results from this better than any the disposable cartridge razors. Safety blade is so much cheaper to purchase and I don’t feel bad having to change it to maintain the shave quality. Anyone on the fence will not be disappointed in the purchase!

I’ve been shaving with a Merkur 34C for years now and decided to give this X Proof MKC razor a try. It is lightweight but seems to be built bulletproof. I love the magnetic blade holder. Quick blade changes but holds the blade securely. Most importantly, once I got the shave angle figured out, it provides a great smooth, close shave.
