Just like everything they make, this strop just screams quality. Yeah, it’s a piece of leather, but you can feel the quality in your hands. Additionally, like everything MKC produces, there is a certain sense of pride and just straight coolness that comes from owning quality, American made products. I work with the youth at our church and the young men decided they wanted to try their hand at making a knife. I have been a production manager in a woodworking tool shop most of my adult life so I thought we might be able to figure it out. I studied on it a little, got some material, made a make shift forge for hardening and we went to work. The boys have each made a pretty good looking knife and I wanted to teach them to sharpen them the way they need to be sharpened. I watched your sharpening videos and decided I wanted to finish the knifes with a leather strop. I chose this one because it is American made, looks great, and is very sturdy and well made! Between learning the new method of sharpening and this leather strop, my knifes have become scary sharp! I asked the boys what they have thought of knife making as an activity and they have all loved it! Thank you for a great product and the great tutorial on sharpening!

I learned from my Grandad many moons ago about knife and chisel sharpening and have a small square of strop leather from him in my kit. This MKC strip takes it to a all new level and is an awesome piece of gear that will last generations. I really like the two sided design and utility. You get what you pay for and this strip is a great value!

Just got done making a few passes with a few of my knives and I love it already. Had it about two hours. Awesome workmanship worth every penny. Now I’m looking at the knives they make. Glad I was looking for a US made strop.

This leather strop is well made and durable. I have purchased other cheaper leather strops from Amazon and they do not compare to the quality of this one from Montana Knife Company. I have used it a few times since I purchased it and it works well for getting that perfect finished edge when sharpening my knives to make them ultra sharp. Unlike the other cheaper leather strops I have purchased in the past, I imagine that I will be using this one for many years to come.
