“Occasionally I want to do something special for our MKC customers and followers. I want to do something that most large companies won’t. I decided to custom make a small run of knives from Damascus that I personally forged. These runs will be small and open to anyone to buy with an equal chance. The first of these runs are Damascus Speedgoats. Since these are knives designed for hunting I went for a topo map Damascus theme!  Each blade is unique from the others. I also etched the pattern deeper than any blades I’ve done to reveal the character of the steel. The Damascus is forged from 1080 and 15n20 high carbon steel. I personally ground, heat-treated, hand-sanded, etched, and wrapped these knives. The beautiful sheaths are made by Francesca at Teton Leather Company.
