LEAD BLADE FIRST.

When we designed the Stonewall skinner my goal was to create a knife that could do any possible task in the field that a hunter may encounter.  After designing a couple of knives that were intended for the hunters counting ounces we wanted to create a blade that could do it all.

The Stonewall has a larger belly in the blade making it perfect for skinning out animals or cutting meat.  The added length of this blade makes it possible to baton it through wood if needed.  The blade is stout enough to put up to nearly any abuse you can put it through.  At .135 thick at the spine, this 52100 blade is stronger than any task will be.  At just .015 thick at the edge, this knife will still cut like a laser but still has enough steel behind the edge to chop wood for hunting camp. The G-10 handle scales are equally as tough as the blade.  G-10 is notorious for being strong, durable, and stable.  No natural handle material can compare to its toughness.

Each Montana Knife Company™ Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner comes with a Kydex sheath with a quick attach belt look.  This belt loop can be put on your belt without removing or unclasping the belt.  The knife can also be carried horizontally or vertically by simply removing two screws, adjusting the clip, and reapplying the screws.

The Montana Knife Company™ Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner has three hollows cuts into the handle to decrease weight and provide a place for the epoxy to bond the steel and handle material.  Screws and high-strength lock tight hold the handle scales in place tightly.

THE STONEWALL BLACKFOOT SKINNER

The Montana Knife Company™ Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner got its name from the region that our founder Master Bladesmith Josh Smith grew up in.  The Stonewall Mountain and Blackfoot river valley in Lincoln Montana are on the edge of the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat wilderness. Josh grew up hunting and fishing in this area and felt it was fitting to name this blade after this incredible place.

Amazing in every respect!

This is my first MKC purchase and it did not disappoint! Top-quality craftsmanship all the way around. The balance and control of the blade are fantastic. This will be my first year in over 20 years bringing a new knife on my hunts. I’m looking forward to making new memories with my new Blackfoot Skinner. Thank you MKC and BRCC!

Real steel of a deal!

Blackfoot is well-balanced and feels deft in the hand. Its got a stout backbone and plenty of belly that lends itself to more than just skinning tasks. This would be an ideal camp chore/backpacking, bushcraft knife. It arrived shaving sharp, nice even matte finish, and was nicely packaged. 52100 is my all time favorite hard use steel and what led me to purchase it in the first place. Although leather is a bit more posh, I do prefer the kydex sheath for a field blade as it does not get saturated with moisture/blood/etc. Honestly, its a well-executed, thoughtful design and is a bargain of a blade.

This is a well balanced blade with true quality finish. Great craftsmanship and thanks BRCC for the secret access, I have Jiu Jitsu classes and have missed the drops and this got me in. Love the knife and sheath.

Finnest quality and service

I am an avid knife collector and have many fine knives that include a John Horrigan, Chris Reeve-Harsey Pacific and, of course, my trusty Ka-Bar. This knife is of the finest quality, is well balanced and will be part of my EDC setup when I am out and about AND it has the Black Rifle Coffee Company logo on it; how can you go wrong. Josh... job well done and thanks to BRCC for turning us on to your talent.

Purchased first MKC knife this week, Stonewall Skinner. Very happy with the quality and craftsmanship. Best of what “American Made” can be. Great customer service, will be coming back to MKC for sure!
