MKC Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer - CNC Milling Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D modeling, Solidworks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, and the ability to operate and program CNC milling machines. Experience with production quality systems, statistical quality control, CMM programming and part inspection is a plus. Must be fluent in G-code and GD&T. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing and quality control processes, as well as improving existing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Manufacturing Engineer Job Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Level
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for CNC milling machines
- Create 3D models and tool paths using Solidworks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent
- Program CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC milling machines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flow diagrams
- Create and implement quality control systems
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent
- Experience operating and programming CNC milling machines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
